<p>But the thing is, being in DivOH probably is less of a “factor” as much as an indicator. That means, it probably won’t actually help your application, but it does indicate that your application is already strong enough that Amherst is already interested in you. For instance, the students accepted into the Discover Swarthmore program had about a 60% chance of getting into the college. Don’t call me out on those numbers, but I am willing to be that those accepted to these types of programs are already pretty strong students. Not only that, but the best way to demonstrate interest is to do events such as these.</p>
