I was wondering if all colleges accept online courses to be factored into my high school gpa. More specifically, I was wondering if ivy leagues accept them.

What exactly are you asking here? Colleges will consider pretty much any courses that you received HS/college credit for. If you can send them an official transcript from your HS or a college with the course on it, they will consider it. That doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily recalculate your GPA to include that course, but they will consider it.

Now, if you took an online course on like MIT OpenCourseWare, not so much. They’ll note that you took some initiative outside of school but that’s about it.

Ye, that was what I was asking. Does anyone know if they would recalculate my gpa to include the course?

If it’s an online course from a college, no.

So if it’s an online class from a virtual high school or a independent study one, it will?

It’s really difficult to know. If you took some online course through a random online program, it’s almost certain that they will not factor it into your GPA, if they recalculate GPA at all. It has to be a serious, respectable, online program.
