Do ALL materials need to be received by Nov 1 for EA consideration?

DD ordered SAT scores to be sent 10 days ago, but order is still “pending” with the wizards at the College Board. DD has sent in application, and counselor has already sent transcript/rec/school info. Wondering if the official SAT scores can arrive after Nov. 1.

IU does not have EA. Admissions is done through a rolling process. You are fine.

Is this the same case for Purdue? @JohnBran

Sorry, not technically EA, but Nov 1 is the “Priority Deadline” for “maximum scholarship consideration.” Admissions office said all test scores need to be in by Nov. 1 when I called. Too late to send a rush order now, so I’ll just have to count on College Board to get them there, ugh. College Board says regular orders take 1-2 weeks - amazing that an electronic transfer takes that long in this day and age.

I’ve spoken to one big public university (can’t remember which) that told me that they receive the"electronic transfer" by diskette and that the ACT takes a month to get to them. I don’t think that “electronic transfer” is what we think or should be. :frowning:

@Bigmacattack - I’m in the same position, I got an email from college board yesterday saying that the scores were taking longer to process than usual and that they would let colleges with a Nov. 1st priority deadline know what was going on. I emailed IU’s admissions counselor about it, and she emailed me back saying they were well aware of the situation, and that they would “monitor the arrival of these scores carefully to ensure that students who requested scores to be sent to IU in a timely manner are not disadvantaged in the admissions process.”
So I think you’ll be good. Fingers crossed!

Called IU again today, Monday Nov. 2. They said they’re well aware of the screw ups with SAT delivery from College Board. Most importantly, they said DD would still be considered for merit money, even though scores come in after the Nov. 1 date, which is better than what I heard from them last week when I spoke with them. They said that DD should save her Oct 22 SAT Score order receipt in case they ask to see it.
