Do ap scores HAVE to be sent by the 15th?

I just got my scores a few days ago in the mail and if I send them tomorrow I don't know if they'll make it on time. Do they need to be sent by the 15th? Do they even need to be sent at all? Is it necessary to get the credit from them?

Also what happens if they don’t receive a transcript on time? I took a health class at mira costa 3 years ago and sent in the transcript First class mail. On the mira costa website it says it’s complete but on the UCSB site it still hasn’t been received.

If you designated UCSB as a recipient for your AP scores when you filled out the AP test paper, then they should’ve already recieved them. They showed up on my test scores tab before they came in the mail.

‘Do they need to be sent by the 15th?’ - Yes, that’s what their deadline for it is.

‘Do they even need to be sent at all?’ - “Send all official scores by 07/15/2012”

"Missing transcripts and/or test scores will result in your registration being blocked, and ultimately the withdrawal of your admission offer. "

You have the option to take the classes of the tests you have already passed, but that doesn’t change the requirement of sending in your test scores.

Call the admissions office.

these are soft deadlines. you will be at risk if they arent received by the 15th, but if it’s just a few days late, you should be fine

I am guessing most people here did not deal with this problem in the past. Do everything possible to get them in by the 15. But you are NOT in any danger if it isn’t received in time. It happens all the time usually from reasons students can’t control such as a Collegeaboard error or delay, or your school simply sent out transcripts a bit late.

If you put in the UCSB code on your AP scores they should be delivered straight to UCSB electronically. I am sure that on the scores you received by mail it should say which schools they were sent out to. It should also say online on your portal thing (given it takes a few days to update).

My personal experience: When I applied ( 2 years ago) my AP scores were marked as not received even thought according to collegeboard they had already been sent. It took a while to sort it out with Collegeboard. Anyway, first I got an email from UCSB telling me to have them in by the 30th., everyone that didn’t have all things in did. Then I called UCSB because I didn’t think tings were going to be sorted out by then. They were very nice and sweet and basically said that pass the 30th was okay, that it was more of a preferred time, but that there was no penalty if it was late as long as I get it in. A friend of mine had a similar experience and got the same response. I went to orientation in August and some people still did not have in some of their scores and college class transcripts. Hover I recommend you do have them before orientation specially if they would enable you to skip classes.

So advice: If you have any problems call UCSB and you’ll be fine, but try to get things sorted out a soon as possible.

Thanks koolboy, is it still possible to take certain classes even if they’re not in by orientation though? Or will they make me sign up for the ones I’d have to take if I didn’t pass?
