I’m an IB Diploma course candidate, my weighted GPA is a 3.72, and unweighted is 2.72, which is quite disappointing. But I don’t know if Canadian Universities will look at that, or if they will just look at it unweighted. Come to think of it, I’m applying to University of British Columbia and some other Canadian ones. Do they even look at GPA’s?
The admissions page of each school will show how they evaluate IB applicants. If you are American most will look at SAT/ACT scored too.
They will look at your IB points. http://you.ubc.ca/applying-ubc/how-to-apply/required-grades/
Thank you all!
But I am not a full IB Diploma student. Will that affect admission?
If you’re not a diploma candidate, then they will put more weight on your ACT/SAT scores.
Most will look at unweighted GPA and your 2.72 will not be sufficient at top Canadian schools.
