At my high school these classes are considered electives but I always though they were social sciences that go into the core GPA recalculation. Do they or do they not?
At our high school any class that is considered NonAcademic and not part of the academic GPA has an N next to it on the transcript.
No one can say what they do at your high school.
There will be variations between how different high schools and different colleges count those courses. There is no one right or wrong answer for every school.
I would guess yes bease they are academic classes but as suggested, your school might do something else. A college reviewing your application would likely treat these as core classes.
