I’d like to know if taking classes at a CC and transferring them would be viewed as negatively compared to ones taken at a university and transferring them. What if those classes were non-science ones, does med school even care? I know sci classes are a problem if taken at CC level.
It depends on the school.
If you are referring to transfer admissions to four year schools, public schools are often friendly to students from community colleges, but some private schools may be less so.
Medical schools are a different matter, but enough of them look down on community colleges that a student who has taken some pre-med courses at community colleges is usually advised to take some advanced science courses after transfer to a four year school (happens automatically if one is a science major; non-science majors would have to choose such advanced science courses in their elective space).
