Do colleges actually only consider your highest score?

On my first sat, I scored a 2030. On my second, I scored a 2150, and on my most recent test, I scored a 2350. For a school such as Yale, will they actually only consider my 2350 and not my 2030 into account? Thanks!

I think mostly that is correct. And its the score they assign when they post the freshman class profile for CDS. I say mostly because I think eyebrows would be raised if someone took 8 SATs and had one 2100. But that wasn’t true for you.

You’re worried that your 2350 will not look as good b/c it’s your 3rd try?

Many things to worry about. This is NOT one of them. Sure Yale might reject you and the other 94%, but it won’t be because of your earlier two SAT attempts.

Please go and enjoy your last semester of your senior year. You deserve it. Whatever school you choose to attend this Sept will be lucky to have you.

Thank you for your kind words!

Right. Most private selective schools will only consider your highest score and/or will superscore. There’s a listing on the College Board website (I think - you can google it) that lists each university’s score-handling policy. (well, not all universities but many popular ones)
