My high school counts a 92.5% as an A, which I was told would be an A- in college admissions. This would make my unweighted GPA no longer a 4.0. (I have 1 semester of a class with a 92.83 on my transcript)
My high school though doesnt report the percentages on transcripts, only the letter grades. Do Ivy league schools require you to provide percentages for classes, or are they ok with the letter grades?
Colleges will use what the HS sends in the transcript. If that consists of letter grades for each class that is what they see and use.
Although usually a schools grading scale will also go with the transcript. That said, report your gpa requirement the way it is on your transcript.
Who told you this?
If your grade was an A, and an A is on your transcript, then colleges see an A. Your school profile will say 90-100= A (I assume), so they know you got somewhere between 90 and 100.
If percentages aren’t there, they don’t see them. And I suspect they will be barely glanced at even if they are.
Also, whether you get a 4.0 or almost a 4.0 pretty much won’t matter for college admissions.
