Do Colleges compare your SAT scores to your school rather than the nation?

My SAT score isn't that great honestly. In terms of percentiles, my CR score is in the 77% in the nation, math is in the 79%, and writing is in the 82%.

However for my school my CR is in the 92%, math is in the 93%, and my writing is in the 97%.

I'm applying to UC's and am eligible through ELC and statewide path.

Will the UC's look at how I did when compared to my under-performing school or look at the nationwide percentiles?

As far as I know they take it in comparison to the nation, but that state schools look at it from the state. They do take into account your school though and what they offered

Thanks for your reply.

Last year, my school sent some students to Stanford, UCB, UCLA etc with similar or worse SAT scores than mine.

bump :)
