Do colleges consider senior year when they calculate your GPA?

Georgia Tech to be specific.

I went ahead and calculated my GPA according to Tech's scale/system. When I apply, my GPA is going to be a 3.56, NOT including senior year. If I add senior year grades to the mix, my GPA will go up to a 3.7 or so. Big difference right there.

Your thoughts?

Thanks.

check admissions website to see if they ask for midyear grades. All schools look at final transcript, but I’m guessing the ones that ask for midyear do take your fall semester grades into account. Basically, you apply to colleges based on strength of GPA/class standing at end of jr year.
