<p>If you are speaking in terms of the NEW sat, yes they do, they actually receive a copy of your essay, it is disclosed to ALL of the colleges you apply to. As for the old sat ii writing, they do receive your writing subscore but i'm not sure if they receive the essay itself as well.</p>
