Do colleges look at marking period and mid-term/final exam grades?

<p>Colleges will see whatever transcript your high school sends them, and any additional unofficial grades you send a college. So, check with your high school registrar or whoever is in charge of transcipts. At both my kids’ schools, it is semester grades and final year grades.</p>

<p>Our HS transcript only lists the final grade for each class, but colleges sometimes ask for the semester grade for the senior year of applicants.</p>

<p>In our school system, all high school courses are semester courses. (The first half of a year-long course sequence and the second half are considered separate courses.) The only grade reported on the transcript is the semester grade, so that’s all that colleges see.</p>
