Do Colleges look at SAT scores of transfer students?

Do Colleges look at SAT scores of transfer students?

depends, some schools more than others...obviously if your a freshman looking to transfer for soph year, the will look at them, but if your a soph transferring for junior year, its almost always no. if your transferring for junior year and you have a great SAT score, its more of a bonus than a req...but if you have horrid SAT scores, you may want to find certain schools that dont require SATs for transfer like Cornell even....

At most schools, once you have completed at least 30 college credits, they will either not require you to send in your SAT scores, or not weigh them too heavily if they do require you to.

If it's good, it can only help. If it's bad, and you don't have to send it, I'd pass.

I plan to send it, cause it can help my hopefully 3.0 gpa.

my son is now a sophomore at his first choice school which he transferred to. He did not get in as a freshman .His english SATs were just horrible and his math was average. He went as a freshman to his safety school and and did really well.In March his freshman year he decided to reapply to 2 schools he got rejected from. When I found out he had to send in his SAT scores again I cringed. But guess what ?? he got in both schools and is now getting all As and Bs in his original first choice school. My point is that the schools all use SAt scores as buffers in deciding what pile to put the application in. In my son's case his first application to his first choice was put in a pile with 27,000 other rejected applications. When applying as a sophomore they are looking for kids who adjust easily and can make the grade. In our experience they do NOt look at SAT scores when transferring as long as the GPA at the present college is decent.
