Do colleges see if prospective students have an M.I.C. on their record?

Do colleges check during the admission process to see if prospective students have gotten Minor in Consumption tickets during high school and if they do can it seriously harm your chances of acceptance? Also, if you get an M.I.C. after you're accepted can they retract the acceptance?

Minor in Consumption? Never heard of it.

Anyway, many colleges ask whether or not you’ve ever been convicted of a crime. I suppose it depends on how serious it is.

Yes, they can rescind your admission for that- they can rescind for nearly everything. Whether they WILL or not is a completely different story.

It’s a ticket for being caught drinking under the age of 21 and I guess I do mean WILL they rescind an acceptance (Has anyone ever heard of this happening?).

I’m not sure…probably depends on the school, and whether you were a boderline admit or not.

I know of quite a few people that have been to tons of parties that have been rolled by cops and not one has ever gotten an “M.I.C.”

I guess Arizona is just strict on drinking because a lot of kids here get MIC’s.

It would depend on the prestige of the school and the quality of your app, I guess.
