Do colleges see the grades of your Final Exams?

My grades are generally decent (A's and a few B's) but my final exams are always B's and C's. Anyway I am wondering if colleges will see these final exam grades and if they do how much weight will they carry?

Thanks

It really depends on your school's policy. But my impression was that all colleges see is you final year-end grade. Finals should be factored into your final grade, but they are not shown in themselves.

thanks my final grades are fine (well not compared to other members of CC) its just the actual final exam grade I was worried about.

very very unlikely, colleges only see your transcript, which usually only has your overall grade for the course. So unless your highschool puts your final exam grades on your transcript, then no they won't see it.

Depends what kind of exam.
If it's a statewide exam (like the Regents for New Yorkers), I believe it shows on your transcript.
However, if it is a teacher-made exam, then the answer is no.

it will only show if they get a report cardd

they only see what's on your transcript, so you have to see if it's on there. my school has all quarter and final exam grades on the transcript, but i would think colleges would only care about the final grade.

i'm pretty sure colleges see semester-by-semester grades, which typically doesn't include exam grades.

Like dela said, it depends on your school. Some schools include quarter, semester, and final grades, while others include different combinations. It also varies if the college asks to see report cards or transcripts. If you're really worried, just request or purchase a copy of your transcripts to see whats on there.
