Do colleges superscore the ACT?

I know they aren't all the same, but do they take the best of each section? Any ideas? thanks

many of the private schools do

It is generally the opposite of the SAT. Majority of colleges take your highest subscores from multiple tests to determine your SAT score for admission; minority use that test with highest composite score. For the ACT, majority of colleges use for admission that particular test with the highest composite score, minority take highest subscores from multiple tests. Also, for the ACT, there are some colleges, e.g., Rose Hulman and Gtech, that use for admission only the math and English section scores and ignore composite, reading, and science scores.

Trinity College and Colby College superscore the ACT

Grinnell does not superscore ACT, but does for SAT. (which I hate since I did the ACT). Oh well xD

Nearly every highly selective college does NOT superscore the ACT. However, another parent poster said that WashU does superscore the ACT, so there maybe others.
