Do fee waivers hurt you in the application process for top schools?

So, even though I’m not low income per se, I got a fee waiver due to… extenuating circumstances (I’m a quadruplet, and my siblings and I are all applying for college at once). My counselor gave us fee waivers for all the schools I have listed on the common app (my top schools are Princeton and UChicago) and she also gave me one for Georgetown, which isn’t on the common app. Will having a fee waiver hurt me in admissions at these schools?

My stats are admissible, but borderline by my own admission: 31 ACT (32 super scored), 3.82 GPA UW (but I am top 8% in my class of 720 and have taken 7 AP classes), some National Level ECs and President of a club at my school

So my objectives are “weak” (not really, but in the uber competitive world of top schools admissions, they are), but I have strong subjectives (ECs, Essays, and Recs). Also, I am a URM (black). Will the fee waiver be the final nail in my coffin?

These schools are need-blind admissions schools. It’s a philosophy that they’ll review you w/o regard to finances b/c they are committed to having lower income students attend. Trust them on this.

Much goes into getting admitted. But being paranoid about this isn’t worth your time/energy

Good luck
