Do Grad Schools Frown Upon Transfer Credit?

I am going into my 4th (and last) year of a BSc in mechanical engineering. I need to take two non-technical electives to satisfy my program requirements. I can take equivalent courses online this summer (an accounting course and a sociology course) through a different university and receive transfer credit from my university. It would lighten up my course load in my final year.

I have interest in grad school, and I'm concerned that employers and grad schools may look down on the fact that I completed two courses online via a different university. I assume that, for grad school, I would have to submit both transcripts as part of my application. Would this make my application look worse? Also, my university is a fairly reputable school whereas the other is, I think, strictly online.

Yes, you have to submit all transcripts. Since the transfer courses are not in your major, it should pose no problems just as long as you take advantage of the lower course load to do something that is valuable for your graduate application (like research).
