Do GRE analytical writing scores matter?

<p>So I just got my gre scores back(revised scores are up early I guess)</p>

<p>Anyway I got</p>

<p>165 verbal 96th percentile
164 quant 91st percentile
4 analytical writing 48th percentile</p>

<p>Obviously my writing is significantly worse than the other two. I'm applying to engineering schools. Is that a big deal? I could probably do a lot better on the writing, I didn't really practice or study for it, but I don't feel like/am not going to retake it, especially since my other two scores are good. Odd that I did better on the verbal than the quant though.</p>

<p>Analytical writing is pretty much irrelevant. You’ll be fine.</p>

<p>Same thing here, I got exactly the same except 93 on Verbal. Funny being scientists we got such high scores :)</p>
