Do home interviews affect my acceptance?

Because there was no more room for an on-campus interview at the school, I am going to have a home interview from a regional representative in my community. will this affect my chances of acceptance at all?

Depending on the school they will prefer or not care which you do…What school is this?

The school is andover. I mean I have had interviews with other schools (on-campus), and it was very helpful for me to actually be there to ask questions and actually talk to the head of admissions.

I think it will affect you a little. Do to Andover’s low acceptance rate this means more than 1500 candidates apply and I think if they know that you have seen the campus and are really into, it will increase your chances greatly.

I’m planning to go for a tour after the deadline is over for applications and interviews (no space is available until then), so I guess that could help me a little rite??

I cant say for sure, but as far as I know it shouldn’t effect you. I also interviewed with a regional rep (I’m applying to deerfield), and the Deerfield admissions told me that it doesn’t effect anything. In fact, they said the only advantage to an on campus interview is for your own benefit to tour the school and everything.
Of course, I can never know if this is 100% true; this is just what I heard from the admissions. Good luck!
