Do I even bother transferring? Retrying for last year's waitlisted schools

So I currently go to Carnegie Mellon and hate it here. i didn't want to come here in the first place. Basically, I'm looking to transfer to:
-Chicago (was waitlisted)
-Johns Hopkins (waitlisted)
-Cornell (ED rejected)
-Georgetown

Im hoping because I was already waitlisted at the first two it'll help and show that I want to go there. Anyways. I'm an international relations major, and possible business. I don't know if I want to transfer since I wouldn't be able to double I don't think if I were to transfer, but I could here. At the same time, IR is much more respectable at those schools, and I want to go to law school anyways.

Also, here are my stats which also worry me:
-3.2 gpa - had all As and Bs. I could have done better but the unhappiness just really got to me
-few jobs here and there (mortgage company)
-first gen - idk if that counts now that I'm already in school
-hs: rank 3/700 4.8gpa 30 ACT (sucky, I know) blah blah blah

Should I even bother? I'm banking on my waitlist status to help me out and also that my 3.2 was just freshman semester at a hard school. Do I give up a double major for a better program and happiness?

I think you could be able to go to one of your waitlisted schools. The GPA is a little weak, there is no debating that, but I’m sure that seeing as you realllllly want to go to these schools, you could get in. You have a shot. Good luck.

Chance me?
