I left highschool a year early because there was no real point to being there. Instead, I went to an early college entrance program at a small engineering college in upstate NY. It was a good school but nothing special. I never had any intention of staying. I applied to Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Harvey Mudd College, Case Western, and Imperial College London(my top choice). Since I didn't yet have a GED at the time, I was applying to be a regular freshman at these schools. Cornell rejected me, HMC and Carnegie Mellon waitlisted me, and Imperial and Case accepted me but Imperial was too costly. So, of course I went to Case only to find that the university, despite having high academic quality in most departments, is incredibly poorly run and doesn't seem to care much about students. Ultimately I'm miserable here and thinking about transferring but I don't know if I should even bother since I doubt I'd get into any of the schools I'd like to go to.

I want to go to Stanford but I also have interest in Harvey Mudd, Pomona, and perhaps Northwestern.

Stats:
SAT Math: 710
SAT Verbal: 710
SAT II Chemistry: 800
SAT II Math IIC: 720
SAT II Writing: 580(not really reflective of my writing ability at the time and I've improved a good bit since then)

Highschool Grades:
Don't remember too well. All A's in junior year.

College Grades:
Clarkson: 4.0 for both semesters of freshman chemistry major classes.
Case: 4.0 for both semesters taking a particularly challenging 18 credit hour courseload(O-chem, o-chem lab, Calc III, Physics III(Modern Physics), philosophy 101, and a mandatory writing intensive class).

Extra Curriculars:
Making high voltage electric devices(independent hobby done an average of 2-4 hours a week from my freshman to junior year of highschool)
Couple hundred hours of volunteer work while I was in highschool
An average of 2 hours a week of film-making club at Clarkson(both semesters)
Average of 2 hours a week of Film Society at Case
Working on organizing a film-making club at Case but having trouble finding interested people.

When it comes down to it, should I even bother trying to transfer or is spending the application fee just a waste of money?
