Do I even have a chance?

So I just realized that I have waited too long to take my SAT/ACT for the Questbridge Program. On my only SAT, I made a 1820, which isn't bad, but probably isn't high enough. I really wanted to pply to Questbridge College Match Program in August for Emory University, but I'm afraid I won't make it. What do you guys think?

1820 puts you in realistic range to become a finalist (though keep in mind there are many other things to consider as well). Regardless of if you become a finalist I do recommend retaking in the fall. If you become a finalist you could always rank Emory and if you don’t get matched your app will get forwarded to RD at which time you will hopefully have higher scores which you can send them. I forwarded my app to Emory for RD with scores that aren’t much higher and I got waitlisted after showing no interest, so it should be at least realistic. Hopefully this helps!

I didn’t even report an official score to QB and I was named a finalist. In terms of admissions, you should retake, but I don’t think it will get between you and finalist status if you’re otherwise qualified.
