Do I Even Have a Shot??!

Wondering how likely I am to be accepted at UW Seattle with the following credentials. Any insight and/or tips would be much appreciated. Thank you!

AP classes (have taken or will take as a senior): English language, spanish 4, apush, psych, govt, eco, english lit, spanish 5, physics c, calc ab

Pretty much all other classes, if not ap, are honors classes

AP scores: english 5, spanish 3, psych 3, apush 1..(haha yikes, I know)

Eagle Scout

Self taught guitar and piano

Other work experience

lots and lots and lots of service hours, heavily involved with church and scouts

Honorary mention on National Spanish Exam as sophomore

That is pretty much it! Again, just looking for some kind of guidance, thank you!

Definitely have a shot, you’re on the bubble. I would say you’re probably in, work hard on your essays though to solidify your chances.

You have a shot. I was initially wait-listed, but later accepted, by UW. I had a 3.5 UW GPA and a 3.7 W GPA. My SAT was a 1780, I was captain of the swim team (participated all four years of high school. Also, the MVP). I volunteered A LOT with the Red Cross and got the volunteer of the month award. I was in MUN and went to the confernce. And a bunch of other stuff I don’t feel like writing. I’d say bring your GPA up to a 3.5 and you should be good. However, DO NOT ******** the essay; that’s one of the most important aspects of the application at UW. Good luck!

Thank you guys very much, seriously.

Yes, nice shot. With good essays, you’re in!
