Half arab/half white (wrote my personal statement about this)

what do you guys think?

anyone? D:

You have a decent shot.

I cant see a reason why you wouldnt get in

have you guys gotten in? is there anyone else on the boards who would chance me who has been admitted?

I haven’t gotten in yet but your stats seem fine, don’t worry about it.

I will be surprised if you don’t get in…

You’re in absolutely.

anyone else who got in?

i’m thinking in. with the new law you stand a good chance.

what new law
how does it help?

the law that UW has to accept 4000 in state students.

Do they have to accept or do they have to enroll?

I believe it’s to enroll.

do you guys think it will help me enough so that i get in?

Without the law, I think you’ll get in. The only reason not, given what you’ve told us, is if your essays weren’t written very well or lacked personality… whatever the admissions people are looking for.

Don’t sweat it too much, okay?

Unless you crashed and burned on your essay, you should get in.
I’d say you’re leaning more to safety than reach with UW.
Did you apply to more selective schools? With your stats you would’ve a good shot at getting into one if you applied to multiple.

UW seattle was always my first choice
and the college bound scholarship which i qualify for only pays for the tuition of colleges within WA. Seattle U gave me the biggest scholarship they had to offer, but UW seattle is still my first choice b/c it’s more prestigious

Yeah, Seattle U isn’t as good as Gonzaga either. 6th best school in the state.

If prestige is what you’re looking for, then only Whitman compares with UW.

UW is number one right?
