--My recommendation letters should be extremely strong. One is coming from my AP biology teacher who I started the medical club and who knows me very well (I got an A in her class so she likes me a lot too).

--For UPenn a close family friend is on the Board of Trustees. Said he would be glad to write a letter on my behalf

I know it is a long shot for some of them but we will see...

Thanks for your input.

reply please....bump

Based on your current stats:

Upenn-ED - Big Reach, even with the help of a letter from your family friend. Your stats, while decent, are not at Ivy League levels, and even scoring a 2150 on the SATs will not get you there.
Georgetown - Reach
University of Maryland - Match
Cornell - Reach
Wash U. in St. Louis - Big Reach
University of Delaware - Low Match
Penn State - Low Match

Too many reaches on your list. You should replace at least one of them with a safety and one with a match school similar to U Maryland.

Are you the same one or does everyone here know a Penn trustee? Did you read Gatekeepers? The college President couldn't get a kid in. If you know a trustee and they are going to bat for you, you should be smarter then to write about it here.Never know who reads this and how easy you are to identify.

Penn is a big reach.

no i didn't read that. what is it about?

bump..............

your scores are weak

what are the chances for each school?
