Hi so I am a junior right now and I am seriously considering Barnard (I do know that I still have plenty of time to decide and such)
My grades are overall mostly As with the occasional B. My weighted GPA is around a 4.1 or 4.2 but it improves every semester and next year I am taking many APs and my GPA will probably improve. On the ACT, I was able to pull a combined 27 but I am not so sure that I will be able to make it much higher.
I am also involved in my community, not the most involved person out there, but I am a part of some clubs in performing arts (I hold an office position in one of them)
Do I have a good chance at getting into Barnard? Will I need to apply Early Decision if I want a decent chance?

Have you taken the SAT? There are students who suck on the ACT who did a lot better on the SAT, and vice-versa.

In which case aim for 31+/2100+.

Thank you! Personally, I really don’t think the SAT is for me but it is good advice

I am similar to you in that I am a junior who loves Barnard. Your GPA is super high, which I think might balance out the ACT score. Definitely try the SAT. I took the SAT and did poorly on it so I am trying the ACT now, maybe we’re opposites! Make sure your essay is amazing I hear they really care a lot about your essay, and try harder on the writing section on the SAT if you try it out.
