Do I have a chance...At getting an application in?

I already shared my story on related thread, so I simply copied it onto here. It goes:

I sent my common app, transcript, SAT's, and teacher rec's to Harvard well over a month ago. However, I could not submit the supplement. My parents figured it would be a waste of money to apply to any school merely for the "hell of it". Of course, once the interviewer called they came to believe Harvard "wanted me" (yes i know otherwise). By that time however the deadline passed, and I e-mailed the interviewer about how I would not be applying to Harvard. I moved on with my life...

Today however, Harvard admissions told me in an e-mail me that not all my application materials have been received...yet...and that I have until February 1 (ironic how such a scary e-mail reawakened my only chance to apply to Harvard).

....................

With that in mind, if I'm going to apply I need to send in my "missing materials", which are the supplement and the application fee. But of course, the common app site will not allow me to submit the supplement as the deadline has passed. The e-mail gave me until February 1, whether or not the Harvard e-mail mechanism knew the "missing materials" included the supplement.

Is it at all possible to finish this thing or is it dead? Whatever happens, happens. It doesn't phase me.

But do enlighten me.

If commonapp won’t let you, you’ll have to print it out and mail it the old fashioned way.

How practical is mailing?

And might their e-mail have assumed the “missing materials” were things like letters and such…rather than the big, bad supplement?

It’s really easy to print from the Common App website and mail the supplement. It’s mostly filled out for you already. Didn’t you get an email confirmation with a link to the H website to check which materials are missing?

Send it! Don’t think twice! Although, of course, that would mean more competition for us…;)

Go for it! No sense in NOT trying. (Contrary to what your parents might believe.) Good luck!

Mailing it shouldn’t be that diffiicult…just hope you meet the deadline!

You should call them and see if they’ll let you fax it.

I think I’d fax it (so it’s date stamped today) AND snail mail it (with a cover letter explaining that you wanted to be sure, since they were kindly allowing, this was the problem, blah blah).

They’re still processing. You PAID your fee. Get the most out of it that you can. Be like Nike…Just do it!

(include a copy of the late approval e-mail…and put it on top!)

Just…DANG please don’t take that very last seat my D might have gotten, K?
