I'm going into my senior year at a somewhat competitive Catholic high school(not in CT), and I've been researching universities in the New England area. Right now, the University of Connecticut is my top choice, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me my chances of being accepted?

I've been taking majority honors classes since freshman year, and by the time I graduate I will have 3 AP classes under my belt. My junior year schedule included AP Biology, AP US History, Honors English III, Honors Pre Calc, Honors Calc, Spanish III, Psychology, and Religion III. My senior year schedule will be: AP Lit, Honors English IIII, Honors Physics, Honors Prob&Stat, Marine Bio, Art I, Journalism, and Religion IIII.

I don't know my class rank at the moment, but I know that I'm somewhere in the top 15% of my class. My GPA as of this past school year is a 3.78.

I took the SATs in May and got a 1790, and then again in June and got a 1830. I plan on studying more this summer and taking them one last time in October.

My school requires a certain amount of service hours each year, so as of right now I have about 60+ community service hours(some from school activities and some from work in my neighborhood)

I am on my school's varsity tennis team, the National Honor Society, Habitat for Humanity club(and I'll be going on a week long trip to Mississippi this fall to help build houses), my school's newspaper, the Alternate Activities Club, the Drama Guild, and Key Club.

I'm looking to major in psychology, although I'm also interested in journalism.

What would you say my chances are? If they don't look too good, does anyone have recommendations for a school that fits me better?
