do i have a chance for Northwestern???

i have a unweighted gpa of 3.6 and a weighted gpa of 5.15. i have 18.5 honors credits (this is my senior year) this 18.5 includes 3 AP classes i took my junior year.

-i have been on government for 3 year
-i am a editor for my school paper and have been a part of the paper for 3 years
-i am the editor of key club
-i was involved in FBLA, Environmental club, and international club for 2 years
-I have been working as a receptionist at cost cutters for the past 3 years
-I have been a part of national honor society for 2 years
-I am an alternate for Youth in Governance
-i solely put together an all school assembly for an organization called invisible children which involved a former abducted child soldier come and tell his story
-i have also put on multiple fundraisers through student government
-i volunteer at my local humane society
-i am in the process of co-leading a carnival night fundraiser for the make a wish foundation

my act score is bad i received a 24 however i have been seeing a tutor and i am retaking it in december

i am looking into majoring in mass communication/journalism and either double majoring or minoring in international affairs

sooooo what are my chances????

not so great man, i’d say a huge reach. unless you raise your act score to a 32 at the least, northwestern seems to be out of reach for you.

I think it’s unlikely that you can improve your ACT score enough to be a strong contender.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply, if you really love NU; it just means that you need to compile a good list of schools to which you will apply, with most of them being more realistic for you than NU.
Good luck.
