do you think i have a slightly low, decent, or good chance of getting into WFU for econ? what about business?

thank you so much for your help!

does anybody have any opinions? because not many people at my school are applying, so i don't know where i fit...

My D is a freshman at Wake. You look like an excellent candidate and have a great chance. Make sure you show a strong interest when you interview and know alot about the school. My D loves it there - you might too.

Had to rush out - kids were screaming- meant to also mention that we are from So Cal and she was also the only kid at her large high school to apply to Wake. Since being there she has met 3 other freshman from California.

Being from the West Coast will only help you. Wake is trying to get more left coast kids, although I do know a few from California/Oregon that go to Wake. Regional diversity exists too.

exactally, its not a state school, but they do like in-state kids, in-state kids only get like 2-3% better chance, its not big...they are looking to take more regional diverse students this year from what i have heard, i had a visit.

I definitely think you have a shot. Try to continue getting good grades and raise the weighed GPA a bit more. Maybe get a tutor for math if you have trouble with math.

This is not true. Private schools don't have quotas (like UNC, UVA or W&M) for in-state students. In-state students have more scholarship opportunities, like there are different scholarships for folks living in different counties in NC. Regional diversity can only help you, because the majority of kids are from NC, NJ, NY, CT, TX, etc. However if you are from NC, it doesn't really matter, because Wake Forest is a private institution.

All private schools seek geographic diversity in thier matriculating classes.
