I am currently in the process of researching PhD programs I am feel as if I am completely out of my league.
A little background:
I began college as a photography major at the school of visual arts, but left after 2 years. I received my associates from F.I.T. in Advertising and Marketing Communications in 2003. In 2006, I received a B.A. In english Literature from Mercy College in NY. I am currently attending Pace University for a Masters in Publishing as well as The College of New Rochelle for a Masters in Studio Art. Currently my GPA at College of New Rochelle is a 4.0.

I realized I have jumped around a lot and at times by grades were not the best. I took Italian all thru high school (over 14 years ago) as well as Italian in college (10 years ago).

I would like to get a PhD in Art History, but feel as if my previous history of changing majors and my lack of a language will hinder me. I am a NYC resident. but am open to moving anywhere in the country to study. I would like the focus of my PhD to be History of Photography. From my research the best schools for me would be:
- University of California San Diego
-Columbia University
-Brown University
-University of Washington Seattle
-Stonybrook University

Do I even stand a chance? Is there anything I can do in the next 5 months that will help my chances?

Also, I am looking to volunteer at a museum to boost my chances. I think International Center of Photography might be best considering my future goals.
