lived in Japan all my life until last January; in my essay I talked all about how I coped with the three cultures and the impact the moving had on my life. Also, I talked about how my cultural awareness led me to appreciate human diversity and would therefore like to act almost as a bridge between the western and eastern cultures that exist on campus.

GPA: 3.7 (or 3.8 including non-cores)
No honors and not many APs were offered back in Japan, so I only took AP Lang my junior year and got a 99 weighted (oh, and the APs that WERE offered were very hard). However, because I moved here during second semester, my counselor recommended me to take Honors English instead (got 99 weighted). I'm taking AP Lit and AP Stats this year.
