Do I have a chance to get into Georgia Tech?

SAT: 1260/1600, 1930/2400; 680M 580CR 670W

out-of-state only because it hasn't been a year since we moved here in Georgia (but in my essay I talked about how I live in Georgia.. so even though I'm LISTED as an out-of-state, will they keep in mind that I'm technically an in-state?)

female, multiracial (US/Korean)

lived in Japan all my life until last January; in my essay I talked all about how I coped with the three cultures and the impact the moving had on my life. Also, I talked about how my cultural awareness led me to appreciate human diversity and would therefore like to act almost as a bridge between the western and eastern cultures that exist on campus. I'd say my essay was pretty good because it was revised a lot.

GPA: 3.7 (or 3.8 including non-cores)
No honors and not many APs were offered back in Japan, so I only took AP Lang my junior year and got a 99 weighted (oh, and the APs that WERE offered were very hard). However, because I moved here during second semester, my counselor recommended me to take Honors English instead (got 99 weighted). I'm taking AP Lit and AP Stats this year.

EC: JV Tennis (9), Varsity Tennis (10,11), JV Basketball (9,10), Varsity Track (10), initiated an SAT Study Group, Newspaper designer, FCA, Handbells, ..i think that's it.

Jobs: waitress of a busy ramen store, assistant of a salon

Awards: JV Tennis MVP, Varsity Tennis Tournament Consolation Winner (10,11), Varsity Track Most Improved, Varsity Track All-Stars, Video Production finalist, Principle's List, Honor Roll, ..hmm

My dad works (or workED; not sure anymore) for Georgia Tech Language Institute

major: Global Economics & Modern Languages

AHH! I did Early App and I'm FREAKING OUT. My SAT is heck a lot lower than GT's average, but I would like to go there! Any input will be appreciated!!

(sorry I typed so much)

This is first year Ga Tech offered early notification (i.e. early action). Not sure the admitted students would need higher academic stats or not.

At worst, you would be deferred in the early notification round. If English is not your first language, Ga Tech may overlook your English verb. May want to take SAT one more time or even take ACT to get English Verb around 680. Then you should be in.

You do have great ECs and interesting background. That would definitely help a lot. At right now, Ga Tech is low reach for you.

thank you so much :)
