Do I have a chance?

I have a 3.6 GPA currently with all As or an A-, other than IB Spanish where I struggle a bit. My overall HS GPA is a 3.6, but I should be able to maybe bring it up to a 3.7 next year since I’m dropping Spanish. I’ve already taken 3 APs (APUSH, Macro, and English) and will take AP Physics, AP Lit, and AP Gov next year along with IB History (have taken IB Film, IB Hist 1, and IB Spanish 1). I’m in a lot of clubs and am very involved with my church, like with mission trips, before schools bible studies, and then some. Also, my dad worked at UMich as a professor for a while (recently retired), so would that be a benefit for me legacy wise? I have an interesting topic to write about for the CommonApp, which will be about how I was kicked out of Preschool because of my strong ADHD and Dyslexia that heavily prevented me from learning anything significantly, and will go on to talk about how I adapted to it and grew from it. I know it’s probably a bit much to read for some, but pretty stressed out about this as UMich is going to be the only college I apply to other than my local CC. Thanks

dropping a class can look bad, and you should try to push your gpa to at least a 3.8, preferably 3.9. your dad can only help so much, you have to have the stats. what is your act/sat score? why are you only applying to umich? you can apply to msu also. I’m assuming you are in state

I’m still finishing up IB Spanish this year, but I will not continue with it next year with the the second year (so not considered dropping). I also haven’t taken the SAT yet, though I know I’ll definitely need to score very high to be able to make my app look somewhat better.
