Do I have a chance?

I am currently a junior in highschool and am very interested in Georgetown. My dad is went there for undergraduate and has donated and been involved in the alumni community. I have a 3.93 unweighted GPA and have taken 4 AP classes so far. Along with that I am in many extracurriculars like tennis captain, student body government, leadership student for program that takes a yearly service trip to build houses in New Orleans etc… I am taking the SAT in august and am also attending a Georgetown summer program this summer. Additionally I am an Asian-American (Not sure if that will help or hurt my application). My mom went to Upenn graduate school but was not involved much with the alumni.

I was wondering my chances of getting in to both schools but specifically Georgetown

Don’t forget that you also need three SAT Subject Tests for Georgetown. You should register to take those in October, which is next date after August. Are you going to take ACT as well? You really need to have test scores and expand a bit on your ECs to present a clearer picture. Here are the acceptance rates from EA in 2023:

Legacy should help but is not a guarantee. Good luck!

Thank you for the response 4gulls. I just took one of the subject tests (US history) this past saturday and am planning on taking the other 2 in October. I took an SAT course and have a tutor. Additionally I signed up for the ACT in September. What score do you think I need on the SAT and or ACT to get in to either of those schools? Also, any tips for the application process?

The test scores for Georgetown EA can be found in the link in my first message. 25 - 75 range for UPenn for class of 2023 was 1460 - 1550 for SAT and 33 - 35 for ACT. Of course, for both a lot depends on which college / major you are applying to.
