Do I have a chance?

I am an Asian America.
My GPA is 91.98
My SAT could be better but here is my SAT Scores
Reading : 420
Math : 610
Writing: 600

The sports I play are
Soccer
Tennis

The Clubs I currently attend is
N2Him
National Honor Society
NESBE
A.C.E. Program

By the time I graduate, I would have finish 6 A.P. classes, all my classes are honors A-course. I have also done over 90 hours of community service.

The only thing I'm concern with is my SAT scores. Do you think I have a good chance?

definitely a chance... I think the difficulty of your schedule and your gpa will override your weak SAT score... I'm sure you'll get in. plus, drexel has around 75% acceptance rate, and many students do not take more than 3 APs...

If i was to calculate my GPA to a 1-4 point scale, how would i do that? i been to many websites and it all says something different.

Huh?!?!?!? i jsut checked out my application status on teh discover drexel website and enter my student ID and all and this is what it said.

"We have evaluated your file and are pleased to inform you that you are now on our waiting list for admission to Drexel University. An official letter will be sent to you by mail shortly."

Does this mean I was put on the wait list?!?!!!?!! if so how is that possible? my friends got in and my stuff was so much better than his!!! He doesn't even come to school half of the time!!! My grades are better and i take way more A.P. classes than him!! Or does it mean that its unknown?!?!? AAHH!!

That is kindof weird. ?pleased? to inform you that you've been waitlisted? I guess all you can do is wait now...

yeah... why did they say pleased to inform you....

i dont get it.. I got wait listed? but my friend didn't.. i have better grades and SAT score better than him.. and i do more activity.... eh?

its better than, "we're pleased to inform you that you have been rejected"
that would be funny.....

but still... do u think they mean i have been wait listed for accelerated degree program? i mean my grades and the hard classes i take, is better than most people that probably got accepted...

The reason you were put on the waiting list is that your SAT verbal/math is 1030. The average ENTERING students SAT last year was 1197. You will probably get in, but getting into Drexel is not as easy as it once was.

Drexel's letter for waitlist is so funny.....

I think that Drexel is really easy to get in. Something must be wrong with your application.

I am also on waiting list :frowning: my SAT scores: 750- math , 540- reading. Top 10% in a class with 300 people. I applied in september using VIP app and they put me in waiting list??? I am so mad :frowning: I really do not understand what they are looking for… BTW, i applies for mechanical engineering one co-op.

That’s weird infamous, I was accepted into Computer Engineering with a 670 on my Math SAT and a 560 on my CR through the VIP app. I was also in the top 10% of a class of 300.

Might be a mistake, or might be because of the selectivity of the major. Call them.

hmm i was accepted with only a 2.6 UW GPA and a 2090 SAT score with honors and AP classes, ECs, and awards

my major is the 4yr i coop biological sciences

honestly, it’s werid b/c drexel needs a lot of people considering a lot of people go in freshman year and transfer out. What I would do if I was you was call drexel and talk to them upfront. It might have been b/c of the major you went into. If you want to get into drexel, you might have to change your major? I mean, that’s only if drexel was “the only school you wanted to go to”
