Community Service: I'm a Peer Leader this year, volunteered for about one hundred hours my sophomore year at several organizations.</p>
<p>My application will include comics from an independent study with an art teacher at school + his recommendation, and my contributions to the first issue of the magazine that I founded.
My college counselor also said (not to me) that my main common app essay is one of the best that she's seen in years. (sorry to sound like a braggart, but my ability as a writer is especially central to my app)</p>
<p>Four rec's (German teacher since 7th grade, physics teacher, that art teacher, counselor)</p>
<p>GPA: ~ 3.45, but trending upward. (2.8 freshman year to a 4.0 this year) There was a bit of family turmoil my freshman year (older brother was kicked out of school, younger brother failed most of his classes, family was messed up, etc) Also, my school doesn't weight grades.</p>
