Do i have a good shot for Arizona State?

<p>I am in the top 25% of my class rank, scored 24 on the ACT(the exact requirement for out of state), but I only have a 2.3 GPA(yes I go to a terrible school)</p>

<p>So do you guys think I have a good shot? I already sent an online application. They are waiting for my transcript now. Not sure if they got my ACT score yet(came out this morning). Does major affect your chances of getting in? I choose Philosophy, but I dunno if I really want to major in that or not.</p>

<p>Btw I am hispanic so would that help me in this case at all? Also I am out of state.</p>

<p>you should get in. I think it’s 3.0 OR top 25%. (I got in OOS as well, but with better stats :P). Their acceptance rate is probably the highest of any Tier 1 University. So it seems like the right place for you, if you can afford it.</p>

<p>Ya the admissions website says I need to meet one of four requirements. I meet two of them(24 ACT score and top 25%)</p>

<p>The thing I’m worried about is my poor GPA. Should I call them and maybe talk to somebody? Would letters of recommendations help me?</p>

<p>if i’m not blind, their acceptance rate is >%95. so, i think you’ll get in, for sure.</p>

<p>The gpa is not an issue if you have the other qualifications. Don’t stress about it. If you would feel better, call the admissions office, but they won’t give you an absolute answer.</p>
