I have posted on here before but have a grade update and a question about the feasibility
The colleges I need to be canced for are Cornell Dartmouth NYU Stern UChicaog(ED 2 or Non ED2) Northwestern UVA Princeton (Lol) Duke Colombia (Lol again)
Is it worth it to apply to any of these schools
Also UChicago is not my dream school at all but should I apply ED 2 so I at least have a chance of getting in a target school for finance?

Also I applied to UPenn ED but I am almost positive I got rejected as wharton is so hard to get into
Also a little more context and some help I need My goal is to go to a target school for finance and I like UChicago but I don’t love it. I am thinking of doing ED2 because I feel like I could get in ED 2 but U Chicago is not my top school. I would prefer to go to Colombia or somewhere like that but I am pretty sure I would get rejected
My issue is I don’t love UChicago, but I would rather go to a target school I don’t love rather than no target at all, what should I do
UChicago is not a target school, it is a reach school for basically everyone. ED2 seems to be pretty competitive, so I wouldn’t be so sure you’ll get in. Not to be rude, but I think it’s stupid to consider going to a school that you don’t love just because of rankings or prestige or whatever. So what if you don’t get into one of your reach schools; you’ll still do fine in life, it’s not the end of the world. I applied ED to UChicago, and then switched to EA. Why? Because I wasn’t sure it was right for me. Yeah, maybe my chances will go down because of that. Yeah, I’ll probably get deferred and get rejected in March. But it’s fine. At least I hopefully won’t be spending the next 4 years somewhere I don’t belong. Trust me, you have pretty decent chances anywhere you apply. You have much better chances than me, but I’m still applying to schools like Columbia and Penn (which are not much more competitve than U of C tbh). Take a risk sometimes, maybe it’ll pay off. Just don’t do anything you’ll regret, like apply ED2 to UChicago.
@summerhazed Ok cool thanks, I decided not to do ED 2 as I agree with what you said and don’t think it is my kind of place for sure. Also with target, I know U Chicago is a reach for me, I meant Target as in the rankings of Schools for I Bank recruitment. Also I know prestige isn’t everything, but it is really helpful for finance so I am really trying to go to a good prestige school
UChicago is not a target for anyone lol
@daththiccboi yeah sorry I misunderstood what you meant by Target. If you’re going for finance then yeah prestige matters a lot. Honestly you have very good chances to get into a prestigious school RD, so I wouldn’t worry. Maybe add one or two more schools to your list that are good fits for you but still considered a target for finance.
