I don’t know much about BC but have you visited these schools? I think they each have avery, very different vibe. Where do you live? What is your ethnicity? What do you want to study?
I think you have a chance. Tufts will probably appreciate your varied interests (piano and bio medical).
For Tufts, they do appreciated demonstrated interest and the essays are important.
Are you in-state? I am from Massachusetts and go to a top 10 public high school and know what competitive means in the context of Massachusetts. If it is true that you are attending the best public high school in Massachusetts then I have a very good idea of how challenging your school is, and your numbers reflect a very solid academic record. If you are out of state, disregard what I just said. If you really are captain of a national lacrosse team, you are a shoe-in.
You have a great shot at both of these schools. Your ACT is very strong as much as your science research and interest for sports is. Absolutely no need to retake the SAT 2s. Your chem is relatively weak, but it’s perfectly fine for these schools. It would be hard not seeing you get into the schools listed above. Good luck!
@jarrett211 Not mass but top 5 in another top 3 state
Okay never mind then. The reason I was asking is because BC and Tufts give a slight preference to in-state students.
@Watang: Why would you say that the OP’s ACT is low?? Are you joking? Its an excellent score for these schools and he/she will be a viable candidate imo.
