Do i have a shot at NYU Stern ED?

Background:
-International student from Singapore, studied in a tied-best Junior College in Singapore

Grades:

  • ABBB/A for Singapore-Cambridge A Levels, 4 H2s and 1 H1 (Biology Chemistry Math Econs GP) respectively
  • 1570 for SATs
  • Did not take SAT Subject Tests

Extracurriculars taken from Grade 10/11-12:

Leadership

  • Class Chairman
  • Faculty Council; basically student council but for one of the four faculties we have
  • Group Founder/Leader of Project NTUCS, a 3 year project where my team and I went down to a local kindergarten to read to them and improve their oratorical skills
  • Facilitator at National Healthcare Medical Symposium
  • Director of Political Acting at a national Model UN

Community Service

  • Volunteered writer at weekly Meet-the-people sessions (platform for residents to raise any concerns/feedback/requests to government agencies, pretty big thing here)
  • Group Founder/Leader of Project NTUCS, a 3 year project where my team and I went down to a local kindergarten to read to them and improve their oratorical skills
  • Volunteered at Pet Shelter weekly
  • Total 200 hours of Community Service done

Awards/Achievements:

  • Awarded the Ministry of Education Pre-University Scholarship
  • Attained the National Youth Achievement Award (Bronze and Silver levels)
  • Obtained an award presented by the Ministry of Education for Outstanding Community Service

Sports

  • Represented school in Table Tennis
  • Represented school in Tchoukball
  • Official certified Tchoukball coach
  • Was in Singapore’s National Table Tennis squad when younger

Others

  • Co-founded a small business reselling shoes and apparel (few thousand earned in profit)
  • Took an online course in the Economics of Money & Banking from Columbia University
  • Took an online course in Psychology from the University of Toronto
  • 6 weeks internship at a law firm in Singapore
  • Took part in and won awards in various Model UNs

Essay:

  • Can write a rather decent essay, topped my school in the Humanities Program Admissions Test writing component

Recommendations:

  • Should be good

Definitely apply. You could even do ED II. Do you have any other schools in mind?

Thank you! Speaking of which, ED II has been something that intrigued me but i could find very little information about it; if i apply for ED I and get rejected, can i apply for ED II again? Asking because the earliest I can take my SAT II for Math/Chem is in early Nov (will get results in mid Nov), so am unable to use my subject tests score for ED I…worried it may impact my application a lot.

Also, I intend to apply for Cornell (business or econs), Columbia (business or econs), UCB (econs) and NYU CAS (econs) as well! Really want to study in New York so the NY schools are top choices haha :slight_smile:
