I would really like to know if I would have a shot at getting accepted to UCSB for the Fall 2010 semester. Now when you look at this please be nice obviously I know my scores and gpa arent great, but that is the exact reason I am asking, I am out of school but if you have any tips on anything I can do to raise my chances of getting in that would be very helpful.

My SAT'S I take on December 5th, though I have taken A BUNCH of practice tests, and have been preparing as much as I can, I believe my scores will range from about a 1600-1800 at most.
My subject tests in
BIOLOGY - 570
LITERATURE - 600
MATH - 520

I have a high school GPA of 3.1
and some EC's.

and I have two really good (in my mind) admissions essay prompts.

Sorry to tell you that but UCSB would be a reach.
3.1 GPA, weighted or not? The average at UCSB is around the 3.8
Try to get a high score on the SAT!
Subjects tests are okay I guess…
Some EC’s aren’t enough… you need A LOT. Could you list some of them? you never know. It might be something impressive.

Anyway, good luck on your SAT! and I hope you’ll get in!

umm…UCSB would have to be a near astral reach. if you elaborated on some EC’s, that would help. test scores are ok, but your gpa is crippling you…and in your mind? you should probably start now…deadline is coming up quite soon.
