Do I have a shot at UNC, UVA, Cornell, Vanderbilt, and Georgetown?

Currently a first semester freshman, and last year I went 4 for 8 in college acceptances(slacked off in High school) didn't get into any of the schools I really wanted.

So I decided to go to Baruch College a CUNY school.
I gave the school a shot but, it feels like I'm missing out on the college experience, because it is a commuter school with little to no college life.

I'm not very happy here, but I have pulled off very good first semester grades (3.94)
I planning to transfer to a better school academically, and one that would offer a traditional college experience.

MY stats in high school were pretty bad in part due to my own negligence and the tough grading at my school.
I graduated with an 80 average (3.0?) -pretty reputable top public high school in NYC
1350/1970 sats 720 bio-e, and 650 math II.
Ap's got a 3 in bio and a 5 in micro economics
Some of my major ec's: research internship at a medical school (suny downstate),
Varsity Tennis 4 years, Young entrepreneurship association

In college so far i have gotten all a's with the exception of one a-
totaling a 3.94 over 16 credits
Calculus-A
English Composition- A-
Principles of Music-A
Political Science- A
History-A
I am on the varsity tennis team at my current college although it is only DIII
and a few minor roles in clubs nothing special

So my question for you experts on cc is this, what are my prospects looking like transfer next semester for Sophmore standing at the following schools,

UNC-CH (oos)
UVA (oos)
Georgetown (mcdonough)
Cornell (ILR school)
Hamilton (legacy)
Vanderbilt
U Michigan (oos-lsa school)
Emory and Oxford Emory ( due date in june so should have another semester of good grades by then)
Binghamton (wait listed last year)

I know my prospects aren't that good because i will only have one semester under my belt
Also How much will a very good midterm report help me?

No chance at UNC. Also most schools will look at your High School GPA/SAT until your finishing your 2nd year of college. But keep up the good work…

Yea I know I screwed up in high school, but I want to get out of my school asap because its a a commuter school.

Is it worth it to transfer twice?

And I thought I would have a decent show at least with unc since it says on their admission site that (For enrolling sophomores, the average college GPA was 3.44 and the average SAT was 1220.) and being OOS wouldnt effect me anymore

Bing would be your best shot. I say no for the rest because of your high school stats. I’d say wait to transfer as a junior but if you’re desperate to get out, apply to bing and other sunys

Yeah,

But what UNC does is looks at your high school file and bases their decision on if you would get in for freshmen admission based on your GPA and SAT without taking the 18% quota into play which leaves a lot more room for variability between SAT and GPA, but not a 3.0 GPA. Most sophomore transfers I know had very similar GPAs to me, like a 3.8-4.0 W and well over a 4.0 W GPA. And then they look at your college grades to see if you’re still performing at your high school level based on your GPA and of course what school and courses you’re taking are taking into place. A transfer from a community college in NC would most likely be higher than a student transferring from say NC State.

Hope this helps. Hold off till next year. Think about studying abroad for Fall sophomore semester so you will have one less semester in NY? It does not matter where you’re credits come from, just as long as your showing the committee that you’re maintaining good grades and able to succeed at their university from your prior academic performance.

Good luck!
