Do I have a shot?

You can aim, but never put too much hope :)

any APs?
well, i guess u DO have a shot. b/c last year a girl from my school got in with "really really low" science scores but LOTS LOTS ECS, sooooooooo i guess it depends on the type of people MIT is looking for this year

It's all about the passion ... the character and joy that lives inside you which comes across in the application. Scores, grades, etc ... as long as they're in a certain range, it's "everything else". :)

ur academically fit...now its crapshoot. ur essays, ECs, recs, and a lot of how the admissions committee feels when they review your application.

what do you want to study, and how does everything you wrote about and all the activities you have done relate to what you want to study?

My interviewer said all this crap too. And I promptly told him it's not possible (or at least easy) to capture that "spark" and "passion" on 10-12 pages. It's easy to fake it, but not easy to let genuine passion show.

EDIT: Don't take it personally. ;)

It is quite true, really :)

It can come through in ten pages, trust me.

well, there needs to be atleast some correlation with what you write about, your activities, even your scores and recs, with what you want to pursue
