Competitive High School… that’s about it…

Thanks.

i say you have a good shot, assuming you'll get about a 2100.

what are your ec's? if you've got a lot i'd say a good shot. if you've got nothin' id say it doesn't look so great

His EC's are up there...and yes with an SAT boost he has a good shot

Posted these stats from the Class of 2011 discussion in another thread:

Accepted Honors, SAT/ACT Scores : 2290/33 (Honors), 2200 (Honors), 2210 (Honors), 2290/34 (Honors)

Accepted, SAT/ACT Scores : 1910, 2010, 34, 2180, 33, 2230/33, 2190/32, 1900, 2110, 2310/34, 2060, 2090, 2120, 1900, 2180

Waitlisted, SAT/ACT Scores : 2030, 2040/31, 2090, 2010, 1930, 2260, 1990, 2060, 1710, 27, 2070, 1990

From these scores, the average accepted application was around 2090 and waitlisted application was around 2020. If you remove the one 1710 score from the waitlist, the average is around 2050. You can see that BC is really looking for that 2100 mark and the 2050-2100 range is really where your essay and other application qualifications can make a big difference.

dont worry about your SAT score. make sure you have a lot of extra-curriculars. I had a ton, your GPA is perfect where it is, you took hard courses, u have a shot. i got in with a 1820 and i love it!

well im an idiot...

thanks,

I retook the SAT but only went up to a 1370/1600 or 2040/2400
So no 2100 =</p>

My essay's really good & supposedly my teacher recs are decent as well.

I'm applying early action so I hope that helps

Best of luck x1moreRIOT! Your improved SAT scores put you right into the spot where all the competition sits. Boston College tends to be Long Island friendly so that might help also. It is a wonderful campus and one of the best areas of Boston (Newton area) as you probably know by now.

low match

"You can see that BC is really looking for that 2100 mark"
no it's not. CC is a biased sample. 2100 is at BC's 75th percentile. refer to the website.
