Do I have even a slight chance at Georgetown? Thanks for any input!

Of course you do! You are an URM, have a heavy courseload, a good ACT score, and several "real" ECs. The only thing that may hurt you is your GPA/rank.

Beat the essay, and I'm pretty sure you're in.

yea I agree, but don't worry about all this yet. Work hard junior year and you should be in a good spot when applications are due. I highly recommend applying EA (unless you have another ED school in mind, of course), but it takes a lot of the pressure off. good luck!

Everything looks great, except for the GPA & Rank. To put things in perspective, only about 16% of Georgetown students weren't in top tenth of their class. Coming from a public school, that's going to make things a lot harder. Everything else looks really good though, although more leadership wouldn't hurt. Yours is a tough one to call.

Also are you a junior right now? You say you're taking the SAT & SAT II's this spring. Isn't that too late to be considered. I think the deadline for scores to be received is Jan. 10th. If you're a junior, then assuming you keep you make a strong showing Senior year, and the end of this one, your rank should improve. Try to get an extra leadership at your student council or community service club, and you'd be in more than excellent shape.
