Do I have any chance at all?

So I applied to UCB for this coming fall. I am currently a student at UC Santa Cruz, but the literature department and the environment here aren't my cup of tea. I will have 90 quarter units by the end of this spring, and my GPA is currently a 3.5. Do I have any chance at getting into Berkeley as a lit major? I have heard Cal tries to discourage inter-campus transfers so I'm kind of worried. I also applied to UCSB. If I have no chance at Cal do you think I could get in there? Thanks.

Everyone has a chance! Dont give up hope!

I’m not too sure either, I’ve heard that rumour too, but all the best! (:

I think it’s possible, but highly unlikely. (I’m sorry! :()
Just because, the UC’s intertransfer rates are so so very low. (Just because the UCs recognize that you are already able to get a B.A. degree where you currently are- whereas, a C.C. transfer student would not.)
I think the circumstances/reason for your wanting to transfer would have to be really good. Hopefully, you emphasized that in your personal statement.

However, Good luck! Maybe you’ll be one of the few that get to transfer! :D
