Do I have any chance at Clemson?

I'm from Massachusetts.
GPA is somewhere between 3.3 and 3.5 unweighted
SAT is 1940 composite, 1190 CR/M. (Taking it again)
ACT (Taking it soon)
I have a good deal of extracurriculars including NHS.
I'm confident that I can write a good essay. My SAT writing score was 750
My school only offers 5 AP courses. 3 are in language so I may only have 1. Other than that I'm in mostly honors classes.

Other info that may or may not be relevant:

My family income is above average
I go to a top public school
I've expressed a lot of interest (Correspondence/Visit)
Majoring in a scientific field
Good recommendations

So I see you have visited FSU, LSU, Auburn, and Clemson. I’m curious as to your thoughts on the schools based upon your visits.

Crosen, what public school do you go to? I went to Belmont High School. Most Clemson students have at least a A-/B+ average to get accepted. I had a 3.1 GPA but I think the 34 I got on my ACT really helped me out. (which is a very good score). Any clue what your class rank might be?

What science major are you thinking about.

I actually haven’t visited them yet. I put that down because I’m visiting next month

@Pierre0913 I go to Lenox Memorial High in the Berkshires. I know it to be ranked 1st out of 12 publics in the county and pretty high for the state too I believe.

Class rank is probably 30% ish. Our class size is a very competitive 62 students though. Top 10% is only 6 people so its tough to judge by.

My best grades are in science because I find it interesting. I did very well in biology so that may be an option. I’m also interested in climatology or some kind of field that deals with global warming as it relates to climate trends and things like that. Science is definitely my direction

I think you have a good chance at getting into Clemson. Keep your grades up and try and improve your SAT score!
