Do I have any chance of getting into these schools RD?

Another worried rising senior in high school. Hope someone would be able to do a chance me!

Want to major in biology

Stats:
4.0 Unweighted GPA. School doesn’t do weighted and like half the school has a 4.0 GPA. I’m probably around the 50th percentile at my school :frowning:
SAT: 1510
Subject test: USH (750) Biology E (720)
I took a total of 5 APs: AP Biology, AP Chinese, AP English Language, APUSH, APWH. Got a 5 on all except APUSH (4)
I plan to take more APs senior year but I think my school will cancel all/most AP classes this year and I’m not sure how much this will hurt me.

Extracurriculars:
Model UN
Science Olympiad
Interned at a politician’s campaign thing
Tutored students for a few months in sophomore year
A few clubs
Held a summer job this year

Schools I want to go to:
University of Rochester (really want to know if I can get into this school through RD. It’s one of my top choices that but I don’t want to ED in case I can’t afford it. And there’s another school I want to go to slightly more lol)
Brown
Northwestern
UPenn
CORNELL
USC
Tufts
UMich
BU
Northeastern

Essay will probably be average :((

Edit: I’m Asian, low income and first gen

I may be wrong something to research perhaps but I believe certain schools allow withdrawal from the ED commitment if they can not meet your financial aid requirements. If this is the case applying ED wouldn’t hurt you.

I can’t chance you but don’t see any safeties on your list. A safety must have a very high likelihood of acceptance and be affordable.

If not U Rochester, what school will you be applying to ED?

Run the net price calculator on each school’s site, and come back here and tell us the results. Here is U Rochester’s (do the more indepth CollegeBoard one, rather than the less detailed MyIntuition option): https://npc.collegeboard.org/app/Rochester

NPCs may not be accurate if your parents are divorced, own a business, or own real estate beyond a primary home.

I strongly encourage you to not use your ED app on a school that will not be affordable. Technically you can get out of the binding nature of an ED acceptance for lack of affordability since one can know approximate affordability via the NPC before applying.

If your family income is below $65K, with little to no assets, I would also encourage you to look at Questbridge. It could be a great option for you, but time is getting tight for the application: https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/national-college-match/who-should-apply?

Run the net price calculator on UR. It’s usually pretty accurate. UR likes interest, and applying ED gives you a clear advantage.

But I agree, that’s a list with no safeties and a bunch of reaches. You need to find a safety or two.

ED is your best chance. Run the numbers on their website and see if it is affordable. If not then look elsewhere.

Oh I do have safeties. Just didn’t list them because they are safeties and I know I will get in. I was more curious about schools that I am not confident I can get in.

My parents unfortunately do have some assets so I don’t think Questbridge will work for me.

Asian… i feel u man

Yea :((
